8.7 Philippians -- Summary of Racial Teachings of Philippians

           a. Count others better than yourself, look to the interests of others:  humility is the antidote to racial pride.
           b. Beyond humility is the emptying of oneself on behalf of others -- as Jesus did on the Cross, and Paul in his missionary journeys.
           c. None of the achievements or titles earned under the Old Covenant transfer to the New.  There is a different basis of salvation under the two covenants.
           d. The two covenants cannot be reconciled or harmonized. To live in the New, one must reject the Old.
           e. Any society or ideology that absolutizes nationality or ethnicity denies the spiritual dimension of humanity and is incompatible with Christianity.
