a. Fundamental to the Christian life is the presence and transforming power of the Holy Spirit.
          b. Yet the weakness of our bodies and minds is unavoidable and ever-present.
          c. Christians must no longer view others from a "worldly" viewpoint.  God has bequeathed to us the message and lifestyle of reconciliation.
          d. Christians are not to make common-cause with nonbelievers against members of their own community.
          e. The Gospel has power to overcome the stronghold of racism -- but the church must cleanse its own house first.
